Srivastava completed his MBBS from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, followed by his MS in General Surgery from King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, where he was a Gold Medalist. He completed his M.Ch in Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery from G.B. Pant Hospital, New Delhi.
