Dr. Hemant Sharma is one of India’s most accomplished and internationally trained Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Surgeons, with over 26 years of clinical experience across India and the United Kingdom. He currently serves as Chairman – Orthopedics & Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, Marengo Asia Robotic Centre for Orthopaedics & Joint Care (MARC) at Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram.

Dr. Sharma is widely respected for his expertise in robotic-assisted joint replacement, revision hip and knee arthroplasty, and complex orthopedic trauma. His advanced surgical training in the UK National Health Service (NHS) and fellowship credentials from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, enable him to deliver outcomes comparable to leading orthopedic centers in Europe and North America.

Prior to joining Marengo Asia Hospitals, Dr. Sharma headed the orthopedic department at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, where he established one of North India’s most advanced independent units for lower limb arthroplasty and revision surgery. Dr. Sharma completed his MBBS at Medical College, Rohtak, followed by a Diploma in Orthopedics at Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS, Rohtak, and DNB (Orthopedic Surgery) at St. Stephen’s Hospital, Delhi. He further honed his skills in the United Kingdom, earning membership (MRCS) and fellowship (FRCS - Trauma & Orthopedics) from the Royal College of Surgeons, England, along with PLAB certification from the General Medical Council, United Kingdom.
